Terms of Service

By playing Royal-Scape or using this website, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Not affiliated with Jagex

Royal-Scape is an independently operated private server. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or connected to Jagex Ltd. “RuneScape” and “Old School RuneScape” are trademarks of Jagex Ltd. We make no claim to them.

2. Your account

You are responsible for what happens on your account, including anything done by someone you shared access with. Choose a password you do not use anywhere else. Your website account and your game character are separate credentials; linking them is optional and reversible.

We may suspend or remove an account that is used for cheating, real-world trading, harassment, evading a ban, or attacking the service.

3. Conduct

Do not:

  • Use bots, macros, or third-party software that automates play.
  • Exploit bugs rather than reporting them.
  • Attempt to gain access to accounts, servers, or data that are not yours.
  • Post content that is illegal, or that harasses or threatens another person.
  • Advertise other servers or services without permission.

4. Content you post

You keep ownership of what you write on the forums. By posting, you grant us a licence to display and store it as part of running the site. We may remove content that breaks these terms, and moderators may lock, hide, or delete threads and posts.

5. Purchases

Purchases support hosting and development. They grant in-game benefits on this server only and have no monetary value outside it. Nothing you buy or earn is transferable to another service, and none of it constitutes ownership of anything. See the refund policy for what happens if something goes wrong.

6. Availability

The server is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uptime, and we may reset, wipe, or discontinue the service. We will give notice where we reasonably can, but a private server is not a service with contractual availability, and you should not treat it as one.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the website. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
